This Privacy Policy establishes the terms under which both Sysarmy and Nerdearla ("we," "our," "the community") collect, use, protect, and disclose information of its members ("you," "your," "the members") in Argentina and the rest of the countries where it operates. We are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of your personal data. By joining and using our services, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.

  1. Information we collect:

    We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when registering in the community, such as your name, email address, username, profile picture, and any other information you choose to provide.

  1. Use of the information:

    We will use the collected personal information for the following purposes:

    • Facilitate your participation in the community and provide you with access to its features.
    • Send you important notifications related to the community and its activities.
    • Improve and personalize your experience in the community.
    • Provide support and technical assistance.
    • Send you newsletters, updates, or communications related to our services and events, provided that you have given your consent to receive such communications.

  1. Data protection:

    We will take reasonable measures to protect the personal information of our members. We will implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure of your personal information.

  1. Sharing information:

    We will not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent, except when necessary to comply with the law, protect our legal rights, or respond to a valid request from a competent authority.

  1. Links to external websites:

    Our community may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such sites. We recommend that you review the privacy policies of the websites you visit from our links.

  1. Regarding Google API policy and user data usage:

    Access, use, storage, and sharing of Google user data by our application is strictly limited to what has been described in this Privacy Policy. Our application accesses Google user data solely for the functionalities mentioned above and does not use or share this data for any other purpose not authorized by this policy.

  1. Instagram and Meta platform data:

    We operate an application that uses the Instagram Platform (Meta) to run drink and food coupon giveaways at our community events. It works like this: when you mention our Instagram account (@sysarmy) in an Instagram story, Meta notifies our application, and we reply with a single direct message containing a one-time code you can redeem for a consumption at the venue. Participation is entirely voluntary and always initiated by you — we never message people who have not mentioned us.

    For this purpose we receive and store:

    • Your Instagram-scoped user ID. This is an identifier specific to our application; it is not your Instagram account ID and cannot be used to identify you outside of our application.
    • Your Instagram username, used to address the message to you.
    • The code issued to you, and whether it has already been redeemed.
    • The identifier of the story mention notification, and the date and time we processed it, so that a repeated notification from Meta does not issue you a second code.

    We use this information solely to send you your code, to enforce the limit of codes per person for each event, and to reconcile codes redeemed at the venue. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in section 4.

    We do not store the content or the images of your story. The notification from Meta includes a temporary link to the story media, which may be written to our server logs while we diagnose problems; those links are issued by Meta, expire after approximately 24 hours, and we never download or retain the media itself.

    We retain this information for as long as necessary to run the event and reconcile its codes, and in any case no longer than 12 months, after which it is deleted. You may request deletion of your Instagram data at any time by writing to [email protected] or by sending a direct message to @sysarmy on Instagram.

    Our access, use, storage, and sharing of data obtained through the Instagram Platform is strictly limited to the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and complies with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

  1. Rights of data subjects:

    You have the right to access, rectify, cancel, or oppose the processing of your personal data. You can exercise these rights by sending a written request to our contact email address: [email protected]

  1. Image release:

    Photographs and/or audio/video recordings taken at the Events by Nerdearla, or others on behalf of Nerdearla, may include Participant's image, name, voice and/or likeness. By attending and/or participating in the Events, Participant hereby grants Nerdearla permission to perpetually use, and to sublicense to third parties, Participant's photograph, image, likeness, voice and statements (whether in writing or orally) for any purpose, including, without limitation, commercial purposes, without compensation or credit to the Participant, in any and all media, worldwide, now known or hereafter devised.

  1. Changes to this Privacy Policy:

    We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. In case of significant changes, we will notify you through a notification in the community or via email.
